The first step of any diet program is to literally try to fix what you have destroyed over the years.  You see, our bodies, in their original states, are perfectly able to break down and digest everything we eat, and limit the excess calories from converting to body fat.

Look at your parents that grew up in the 50’s and 60’s, they grew up eating burgers, fries, milkshakes, canned corn, casseroles, and macaroni and cheese, yet they were able to not gain weight and most of them didn’t exercise or go on any “diets”.

The reason for this is simple, the foods we eat now contain so many chemicals and other man made ingredients that our body is not able to process it, and it slows down the fine tuned precision machine that once was, and it needs to be cleansed and reset.

The best way to cleanse and reset your body is by doing a detox diet.  A detox clears out your Colon, Liver, and other organs, and allows them to be restored back to their original state.  This will make it much easier to lose weight because your body will not have to be working so hard.

I have found that after doing hours and hours of endless research and testing out all kinds of different diets, that the best diet out there that gets the fastest results can be broken down into two steps:

A.  Eat Whole Foods, especially dark green leafy vegetables, Organic, Free Range, Grass Fed protein sources as much as possible.

The biggest problem we face right now is processed refined foods.  These are what is literally killing America one bite at a time.  Processed foods contain harmful chemicals that damage metabolism, hormones, and so much more.  Snack food companies are not required to disclose what chemicals and harmful substances they put into their products, and so we simply do not know what processed foods have these chemicals.  I am sure that you saw on the news recently about Subway and how they found a chemical used to make Yoga Mats in their flatbread.

Limiting processed foods is a must if you want to have a body that actually works, and replacing those horrible items with organic whole foods is the best thing that you can do for your health.

Ideally, you should try to eat as much organic spinach and other dark green lettuces, broccoli, avocados, and other veggies.  In addition, you should get in a variety of organic, grass fed protein sources like chicken, beef, bison, eggs, and fish.  If you try as much as you can to keep the majority of your diet in these categories, you are assured to lose weight, and feel amazing.

When you keep the mindset that these snack food companies are ruining America, it gives you more of a sense of purpose, and a reason to eat healthy.  Join the revolution!

4.  Exercise

Now that we have your diet & cravings under control, the next step is to burn those calories.  You body by itself is a fat burning furnace, and when you free it of harmful chemicals you will be surprised at how fast things go back to how they were.

If you want to speed up the process, the best thing you can do is sweat!  Any kind of exercise will work.  Yoga, Bike Riding, Running, Weight Lifting, Bootcamp, Crossfit, etc.

Pick your poison, do something that you enjoy and can get addicted to!  Instead of being addicted to Oreos, become addicted to something healthy that can help you live longer!
